Today I discovered pinterest for the first time, I dont know how I haven't used it before, it's let me see all the things I want my project to become and given me loads of inspiration.

I'm in love with Eley Kishimoto's patterns, its the kind of collection I'd love to design myself, and a big source of inspiration for my project. There not just restricted to fabric, but also used on accessories; iphone cases, watches, bags, shoes, knomes etc...

I wish I could be a boy sometimes - inspiration

I visited Topshop yesterday, and it would seem conversationals are going to be big this season. While this is true for Topshop and Topman, Topman's patterns seem a lot more quirky, they are the kind of patterns I want to try and create in my FMP. It made me want to be a boy so i could buy them all.

I drew my above drawing before visiting, or viewing their website. I then saw wallpaper designs by Wendy Bray on display, it appears everyone likes hiding under umbrellas!

why blog?!'

This is my first ever post on my first ever blog. So why blog? I'm coming to the end of my final year in a Surface Design degree in a few months, yesterday I got my first marks back which will count towards my final grade. Suddenly the fear hit me. I realised third year makes me scared. This blog Im hoping will get my bum focused on my final project, and not on the what if I fail? what if I picked the wrong degree? what i am going to do with the rest of my life!?
