For my major project I've decided I want to try and create my own brand 'Grapefruit and Sugar' with its own signature look - in doing this I want to do what seems popular at the moment and use the same pattern on a variety products: fashion, interiors, stationary etc. I've been gathering examples of companies who do this and some of the products they use.
It's taking me a really long time to into my major project, so while i'm still doodling and searching for inspiration I thought I'd take some time to screen print some cushion covers and T-shirts. This will also help in giving me an idea of products I might like to create for Grapefruit and Sugar.
Today I visited the Garden Museum, I had no idea this existed until yesterday but it proved to be a great source of inspiration. My favourite piece was a flower installation called 'Roses' by Rebecca Louise Law, it was amazingly beautiful, I couldn't stop gazing at it, it reminded me of Keiko Nishiyama designs in my previous post. http://www.gardenmuseum.org.uk/page/roses-by-rebecca-louise-law
