I've just come back from a couple of days visiting Liverpool, and I'm slightly in love with the accent. While there I went to the Tate Liverpool, completing my Tate collection and I'm now able to proudly say I've visited all four, yay! Tate had an exhibition on by the artist Sylvia Sleigh, whom I wasn't aware of previously. I wasn't sure at first if I liked her works, but after walking around the gallery my opinion was totally in her favour, they're amazing. Not only are the paintings brilliant, but each one is packed with patterns and colour. Below are a few of my favourites.

Etsy inspiration - leahgoren
I think these are my favs. They've reminded me that patterns don't have to be all over and continuous, but can be well placed sketches. I shouldn't be afraid to have gaps.
Etsy inspiration - Showboat Clothing
Showboat clothing, what i like about these pieces are the quirky patterns and the summer feel. It's got me thinking about photography and grass.
Up-hill struggle
Currently feeling like everything with this project is an up-hill struggle, i want to enjoy doing my work but instead i'm finding myself frustrated and not happy with anything i'm designing. I hope this changes.
To help me I've been browsing Etsy for in inspiration....
